The Bell Tower Restoration

The Bell Tower RestorationThe bell tower restoration is completed – A huge thank you to all who helped

The PCC and the Bell Tower Committee give heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped raise the £45,000 we needed to repair and restore the 14th century bell tower of Abbots Morton’s ancient Grade-1 listed St Peter’s church.

Picture of the bell tower thanksgiving service at St Peter’s, Abbots MortonA special Celebration and Thanksgiving Service was held on 15th November 2015 to mark the completion of the restoration of St Peter’s 14th century bell tower.

It was an opportunity to come together for all those who donated to the appeal for £45,000 either in terms of money, skills or enthusiasm in helping with all the various events put on during the two-year appeal.

It was a chance, too, for the Bell Tower Committee to express their thanks to everyone who helped them raise the money.

Thanks were also given to the stonemasons, Ian Bishop and his wife Becky Spanner, directors of Tewkesbury Conservation Ltd and the overseeing architect John Middleton, of John C Goom Ltd of Evesham.
